Data Center & EMS
In today’s business environment, more and more organizations are centralizing their ICT operations, with central data centers becoming a critical component in many organizations. Syscon can provide an entire physical data center, including cooling, raised flooring, UPS, generators, racks, fire separation systems, water detection, and regular maintenance services.
Cooling Systems
The temperature and amount of water in the air are critical factors in any data center. Too much of either can result in massive losses for a company; valuable equipment, such as servers and storage, must be kept in precise running condition. The equipment we install ensures that the air temperature and humidity levels are maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications.
Raised Flooring
A raised floor accommodates the massive amounts of cable required in a Data Center and can make the process of adding and moving equipment easier. Another advantage of a raised floor is that cool air can be pushed beneath it and directed at servers and other heat-sensitive equipment.
Uninterruptible power supply (UPS) Systems
The need to keep equipment operational in any critical infrastructure is essential in order to avoid data loss, business interruption, and other consequences. Typically, we install UPS systems in most data center to ensure a continuous supply of power regardless of utility power availability.
Fire Suppression System
We provide fire suppression systems that use specialised Novec gas. Novec is non-toxic and environmentally friendly, posing no risk to human health and causing no significant reduction in oxygen levels. Novec gas is effective within seconds of discharge, allowing fires to be extinguished quickly before it spreads.
Data Center / Server Room Monitoring System
When you’re in charge of critical information technology equipment, you need immediate notification of any environmental issues that could affect your server rooms and data centres. Improper environmental conditions such as heat, humidity, airflow, smoke, and electricity can permanently damage the system, resulting in irreversible data and lost business for the organisation.
A Data Center / Server Room is now an essential component of a company’s infrastructure. Environmental threats in your server room can do far more damage than hardware or software issues. If your server room overheats or floods, redundant hardware, backup tapes, UPS battery arrays, generators, and other fault-tolerance measures will be rendered ineffective.
We provide environmental monitoring systems (EMS) for server rooms and data centres to monitor various factors within the server room environment such as temperature, humidity, smoke, water leakage, power failure, and so on.
Temperature Sensor
Heat is the most common environmental threat in any server room or wiring closet. Detect critical temperature rises or drops and receive notifications when heating problems occur.
Humidity Sensor
Detect unusual humidity levels. You specify the humidity levels that are appropriate for the environment of each sensor.
Flood Sensor
A server room or wiring closet is the last place you want to see water, whether it's from a tripped sprinkler system or a flash flood. Receive a notification as soon as water appears.
Smoke Sensor
Smoke alarms save lives and property by alerting you to a fire as soon as smoke is detected.
PHYSICAL SECURITY
Monitor "dry-contact" devices such as motion detectors, door sensors, vibration detectors, and sensors.
AirFlow Sensor
Air Flow Sensors ensure that your system will operate at peak efficiency and that you will be notified immediately if there is a drop in airflow.
